Our Legacy: Stahl Motor Company Since 1928
| The
Stahl family has been in the Monterey area since 1849 and William Stahl
founded Stahl Motor Company with a Packard franchise in 1928. The Packard dealership was opened at the same location that is the current Mercedes-Benz dealership. Mr.
Stahl instilled a sense of family with his employees and many have
worked at the dealership for several decades; including William R.
Lawson who worked for 47 years, Eldon Davis is on his 42nd year and his
wife, who he met at the dealership, Rosalind Davis is on her 40th year
of employment. William stahl slowly passed on the day-to-day operations to Bill Stahl, but he remained active until 1992, at age the age of 98. William passed away in 1995 |  William Stahl |
